Ahmad Mukhtar Defends US Attack on Pakistan
By Fatima Tassaduq • Sep 4th, 2008 • Category: Politics • 4 Comments •United States launched it’s first and surely not the last ground operation in the Pakistani territory with a killing spree, and didn’t even mention it let alone showing any remorse or regret. What Pakistani authorities did is the spectacle of climax of shamelessness and disgrace.
According to the media sources, United States-led North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (Nato) forces killed 15 tribesmen, including women and children, in its first-ever ground operation inside Pakistani territory. The allied forces were dropped from two choppers at 3am inside Pakistani village of Musa Neeke in South Waziristan Agency (SWA). They targeted the local population for half an hour. The soldiers started indiscriminate firing with their automatic assault rifles at the sleeping inmates and killed 15 people, mostly women and children. The residents said two persons were injured in the firing. Pakistani security personnel deployed on the border town did not show any reaction to the crossing of the border by the coalition forces and carrying ground operation inside Pakistani territory.
And what our brave and intrepid defense minister says tells the story of our rulers from inside out. He says that no country attacks other country without any reason, and United States and its allies have attacked the Pakistan due to some reason and he would ask from them. Wow, what a statement from the defense minister. Just imagine, Geourge Dubya Bush uttering the same statement after the 9/11 attack. Can you imagine?

Mr.Ahmed Mukhtar has not done it for the first time.If he defends the attacks he must tell the reason for that.The nation is Furious over the attacks.
Here is part of the statement by the Pakistani FM Qureshi in response to the latest incursion by the NATO/US forces:
‘We will not compromise on any violation of our sovereignty,’ Qureshi said. ‘We will defend and … we have a resolve and we have national consensus in Pakistan to defend our territorial integrity,’
So what does this actually mean?
If the leadership in Islamabad was serious in the resolve to deal with this issue, they would have recalled their envoy in the US. Certainly this is not going to happen. Learn to accept that more of such incursions will continue. More innocent people will die in this so called crusade to fight terrorism.
The fireworks will continue until the November elections in the US.
