Account of Victim of Suicide Attack in Wah Cantt
By revo • Aug 22nd, 2008 • Category: Misc, Worth A Second Look • (4,535 views) • 8 CommentsNaveed Iqbal was the only earning hand in the family supporting two sisters, one brother and a disabled father. One of his sister was suffering from polio and there wasn’t enough money to render her sufficient treatment. Naveed Iqbal worked in the POF Ordinance Factory Wah, and his salary was just Rs. 5500.
On 21st August, 2008 Naveed packed up his machine and got up to leave. His colleage asked him that it was just 2:25 and still some mintues remaining in the siren for the packup. Naveed replied that he was feeling very hungry and wanted to get home early so he is going out bit early to avoid the rush hour of closing time of the factory. Naveed never managed to eat anything and was eaten by the scourge of terrorism.
Naveed was the victim of twin suicide attacks which occurred on 21st August 2008 on the Main Gate of POF Ordinance Factory, Wah like hundreds of others, and with him his family also died. Nine more casualties happened in his street, and when nine funerals were lifted off for burial in the nearby graveyard, sky was ripped apart by the screams of the lamenting relatives. Everybody was weeping and screaming and asking the linkage of Naveed and other dead with the war on terror, and what exactly they had done to Taliban to deserve such an end.
It’s one thing to get curious about the death toll after a terrorist attack and its quite another thing to see those dead and their relatives.

Ms Khan,
you are very much right. I have my few friend there also. Allah has saved them and I must say thanks to all for keeping them safe, but over all situation is like QAYAMAT at a place like Heaven. I also endorse that this place was like a heaven. No other city is like Wah. 100% population is educated there. 93 schools, colleges, university, medical college and IT colleges are all over in this small city.
I was used to visit Wah very often, I am now sitting quite far from there but my heart is crying for these poor people. What was their mistake that these bloody enemies of pakistan (internal) targetted them because they were living peacefully? They were sacrificing for giving education to their children, they were not sending their children to Madriassh for terrorist trainings, They were poor but ethically a good citizen of Pakistan, they have norms and social ethics, they were cool and calm…. Why??? after why they were attacked.
Forget Islam, I’m asking these terrorists and their bloody leaders… where it is written that attacking from back is an act of bravery. If they are so brave and want to bring their system then come up from front. then a man like me is enough to finish them. I won’t finish them with bullet..I will cut their flesh and will put to hungry dogs… so they can feel the pain and hear cries of these innocent people..who are targets of them.
This nation has gone through lot of pains and cries since 1947..but now enough is enough. Lets gets unite and search them out. They are living all around us. Lets take care of poor people around us. Lets close these Madrissahs and put these poor children in schools so they can be treated as respectable citizen, lets keep eyes on our neighbours and inform Police, if any wrong movement is sensed around us. Lets close business of PATAKHAY etc etc…. We have to clean society first. we can stop them without cutting this dangerous tree from its roots.
May Allah forgive us and let us work for better society.

Dear TPS Admin,
May God reward you all for your efforts.
We all must strive to help each in time of need. If we do not, we will see a more hatred that will lead to further violence, by those who have become victims. We need to look at the example set by people like Abdul Sattar Edhi and Akhtar Hameed Khan (who is no longer with us) in serving the challenges to the lives of Pakistanis. This blame game must end and we must set forth clear solutions.
Regards

Dear Ms Khan:
I am in severe pain after this blast, I can’t express here. I can hear the cries of the families. I admire this Wah because people lives there like families. They all belongs to different areas of Pakistan but lives like one family. This is the biggest lost after Earth Quake 2005 and left scars for ever.
There is a need of lot to be done but again, as you said…who cares? Don’t expect any thing from any body. We are here to do effort ourself to survive and even to fill stomachs of this elite class. Every body is contributing 36% of its earning to fulfil their desires and financing their children education so they may come back one day and rule on us. We feel great only by hearing their speeches and slogans. Poor people, poor mentality.
We have to realise these poor people that you have equal value and don’t sell your sincerities at such low rate. Be practical and ask your right. Every time we miss chance by giving vote on just one Speech by leader.
Be practical because this world is now practical. Please open your eyes. It is not a time to cry any more. It is a time to learn. It is a time to snatch your right from their hands. Believe in Allah, no boy can harm any more… I think every body has seen Hell after this attack so what left to worry…Please be strong and fight back for your rights.
