I was driving in a cantt area a car behind me gave a lights which mean that he want the way. I gave him the way when that car passed me i saw an upward arrow before the number. Then i watched that car it didn’t stop at the trafic signal which was red. I stopped there and asked a man in uniform. Why that car did not stopped at the trafic signal. he replied ‘the driver was giving lights so there would be an emergency’. I asked him what sort of emergency is Paksitan under attack or Judgement Day is comming. He replied ‘ I can’t answer your question’. Then I ask him If I was doing that would you have given me the way and you have not called the next signal that a car has dis-obeyed traffic signal.

He had no answer and i left him smilling, thinking that rules are for fools.

Are these car being number starting from an up arrow are the real onwer of Pakistan even after 60 Years. Are they above Pakistani Rules. A big question mark for me. Is it for you?

  1. Living in Cantt almost all my life, that’s what I thought the up arrow stood for… ‘above the law’.
