11 Year Old Girl Gang-Raped and Murdered
By Amna Gilani • Apr 18th, 2008 • Category: Politics, Worth A Second Look • 23 Comments •In a very tragic incident in Mandi Bahuddin, a remote area of Punjab province, a girl kid of just 11 was gang-raped and then murdered. She was missing for some time and then her body was found from a dung of heap outside the village.
Her body was badly mutilated and the autopsy report showed that more than 5 people raped her repeatedly till she died. Then she was strangled by those animals in their effort to erase any mark of their crime.
The parents of the girl were frantically searching for the girl and when they found the abused body of their child, they went subconscious with grief. Mother is said to be in very critical condition and father has tried to commit suicide.
Gang rapes are common in every part of the world. Victims are often the most vulnerable. Why people do gang rape? Why the inflict pain on other human to gain some short time pleasure? What exactly those animals in Mandi Bahauddin were trying to extract from the body of 11 year old? She wasn’t a complete girl and couldn’t possibly render anything for their evil designs? What made those creeps accomplish such a heinous act? Why they murdered the little flower which was yet to bloom after plundering her dignity, innocence and the whole living life?
Why is it that men are hell bent on having sexual intercourse with girls of any age regardless of their status? Just go out in the markets and men will try to rape girls with their eyes, hands and if they get their chance they would just skim anything from the girls. The more frustrated ones just plan out such rape act and attack on the most easily available nearby girl of any age or of any attributes.
Data collected by SPARC from various newspapers from January 1 to August 11, 2006 revealed that around 388 cases of child rights violation and other incidents were reported in Sindh.
Eighty children, including 30 females, were kidnapped for various reasons. Some 23 cases of suicide were reported out of which 12 were girls. As many as 17 cases of attempted suicide, including 11 committed by girls, were reported. Out of 43 murder cases, 20 were girls. Also in a total number of six cases of karo kari, all were girls.
Among 63 cases of sexual abuse, 26 were girls. Out of 39 cases of medical negligence, 15 were reported to be females. Also, 13 girls were killed among 30 deaths in traffic accidents involving children. The report said eight girls became the victims of jirga verdicts out of nine cases. staff report. Swara and Vani are also a form of rape.
The rapes are a clear proof that human beings are not civilized yet.

These activities perform dead/evil minded people
Because the civil society is so indifferent to such tragedies - public is just silent spectators, no display of anger, no protests or demands for justice. It is abhor able attitude on our part.
Amna Jilanee, you call these demons animals. Please, don’t insult animals, such barbarism is our speciality - the muslim male in general and muslim Pakistani males are the worst !
Once there was a discussion about least number of rapes by the occupation armies in Japan. The reason was simple; the soldiers involved in this were simply ‘dismembered’. Sounds terrible, but this proved a great deterent for all those inclined for deviants. Now, that there are large numer of women in our assemblies, I expect you guys to systemetically go after this and such other issues that simply hurt women of Pakistan. All the women reading this and who feel hurt and enraged by this violent act must write here, write letters to the editors, write to the electronic media (those rich TV anchors) and most of all write to the members of the assemblies, write to the women organizations, human rights organizations; believe me it will work. It is claimed here that over 3000 people have viewed this alone here, if you all women and men start writing and asking your friends to be active in this. You will achieve what these “jokers” our politicians would not even try otherwise. PLEASE, PLEASE WRITE - PROTEST - ASK YOUR FRIENDS TO PROTEST. BE ANGRY AND SHOW YOUR ANGER.

Being a father to a daughter myself, news like this fills me with rage more than sorrow. How could I ever imagine someone touching my daughter and getting away with it? Maybe because I have the resources to ‘get things done’ but that’s not the case with an average Pakistani. The father to this innocent angel is a common man of Pakistan and the rotten scum of this earth (yes I will not call them animals to diss the animal kingdom) who did this to his daugher might have the resources and contacts to keep her father and justice at bay. It’s so sad to loose your loved ones like this…

Dear Ms Gilani, you’re right these are animals who for their lust didn’t realize that the girl was just 11. Before sharing my views on the issue, let me respond to this part Aftab Aslam’s post.

Although she has a different view regarding rape and feminism, still you can have an idea that UK and US are at the top of list.
Now come towards the remedy for these problems. For this I would like to mention here my conversation with stephi but before that let me list here my suggestions:
Dramas and talk shows on the rape where this message will be given” what will be your reaction if your sister is being raped?” i think the culprit rather these animal wouldn’t tolerate to listen that some one has rape their sister. Let make this the topic of our daily conversations with each other.
No mercy upon the culprit. Just hang them till death.
But here arises some questions.
Is media ready to give that message? Isn’t it providing more opportunity to its viewers to become animals?
Does our law support the victims? The British laws? We repealed Hudood laws. Do you people know that what was the reaction stephi when the women protection bill was passed? Being a practicing layer in UK, she said there was a need to make Hudood laws more effective and you people got rid of it?

we as a nation are not in the 21st century…This is an abhorent act played out on this poor soul and her only crime her poverty and hunger…We are quick to raise protests on other things but when it comes to events like this, we are silent..this culture has to be stopped and addressed…All those lofty conversations and policies related to economy, raising literacy levels, pakistan’s position in the moderen world, and the list carries on means nothing when we see, hear these cases of violence targeted at women, children….May her soul rest in peace and those people who committed this atrocious act rot in hell…

NKhan: Congratulations that you have found a friend in that woman with that blog. Whatever she is trying to sell is pretty rotten stuff. Labelling people facist is an old weapon in the hands of her kind. Don’t take her screwed up thoughts to your heart there is not much to it. I have checked out what she has to say on her blog. This unfortunate that such heartless people (also brainless, I might add) exist in the garb of “lawyer” and pseudo thinking persons. I am still wondering about your conclusion, “—–, still you can have an idea that UK and US are at the top of list.” How does it prove what you like us to believe that such crimes like “Gang Rapes” are so prevalent in these countries that you put them at the top. Merely stating 90% of whatever and 70% of another whatever doesn’t prove nothing. 90 % or 70% of what? That poor woman is a lost soul - may be it’s good that finally you have found each other - can be help for you both to ameliorate whatever your frustrations are.
You might be interested in real numbers in Pakistan. It is available and also there is enough material to prove our attitude as a society towards the victims. We blame the victim for being victimised. I will be glad to direct you to the sources. At any rate, you can be rest assured at least in such crimes you don’t have the culprits in form of some foreign hatched conspiracy; no enemies of our nationhood or our religion. It is us - plain and simple.
If you find yourself as target of my condemnation, well I certainly didn’t point my finger at your person. But then who am I to do so. You know yourself better than anyone else and if your consience is pricking too much, perhaps it is already a good sign. You should join hands and help to curb this menace and make lives of our women a little more endurable.

Hi amna, These brutes are everywhere but in India they are mostly in North,Punjab,delhi,Haryana. for them Woman is a property to be possessed at all cost and their manliness is grown. Recently there was a case in India where a 6 month old girl child was raped and died due to the ordeal. Can you call him an animal.No.. because even animals donot do this. Personally i feel this requires education from child hood to teach children the value of WOMANHOOD,civility,respect.
im an american muslim of paki origin who lived in pakistani many yrs ago and came back 2 america—i will b da first 2 admit as i posted above, that we muslims r no different then beasts—our mentality is that of a wild beast with no counscious—fucking maulvis will scream on their lungs that we should b this and that and follow this sunnah or that, yet he will go against islam and sunnah when he engages in smuggling and pedophilia—i havent been back to pakistan since 92 and dont plan for a good time to visit this sick, violent, and miserable land.
To prevent this and all such barbarism in a society people have to be made conscious of their duties as citizens which to my understanding is force our political leaders, and our teachers in the schools and maddersas to talk about the seriousness of this and how we all must together fight to prevent such crimes. It’s simply not good enough for me to think that such things happen where ever else, if does than that also is very bad. The criminals must be publically humiliated so that others perhaps learn a lesson. there should absolute zero tolerance.

With respects, I wish to ask Mr. Sohail. Since you sound rather confident that someone who (God forbid) touches your daughter can’t get away and you assume that may be because of your having the resources to ‘get things done’. Problem is if that person, whoever he is, God forbid does dare touch your little angel, post facto the deed is done. Your resources won’t help the little one anymore. She must live with this hoorible trauma for rest of her life if her life is spared. Your resources won’t help. Would it? The idea is to join hands and use the ‘resources’ our resources, the human power the will to prevent such acts of babarism from taking place, before this evil gets to your or mine or anyone else’s little or not so little ‘darlings’. We must try to feel the pain of the victims and stand with them in solidarity only then perhaps we will be able to deter the criminals from perpetrating such evil acts against our women, little and not so little ones.
They must be punished!!!
Islamic modes of punishment should be introduced and we will witness this nation to be back on tract. I am sure when they are executed in public and their hands are hanged from posts, these cowards will never even dare to think of such acts. But Alas our Human Rights Groups will get angry and they never get angry when these 11 year old girls are raped. Human rights will be violated if the head of these rapists are chopped in public and then hanged from a the main chowks for a week. I am sure all the remaining cowards will get their lesson.
